I bought this for my niece's third birthday. It was her favorite gift! She plays "doctor" with her dolls, stuffed animals, and even her parents. As a teacher, I know how important role play is for children her age and when I saw this package which includes the doctor coat-I knew that she would love this more than a simple bag of "doctor" tools. Melissa and Doug products are wonderful too!

We were looking for a dress up doctor set for our daughter for her 4th birthday. As parents of 4 young children, we know how often things get bought and never played with. We were pleasantly surprised at the durability and quality of this product. The instruments are made of hard plastic, and would take some effort to break. Our daughter enjoys giving us "shots" and "taking our temperature" as well as listening to our "heartbeeps." The white coat is made of a heavy duty fabric, and much thicker than what I expected. It has velcro closures that make it easy for little one to take on and off. Our daughter hasn't taken it off except to sleep since she got it. I was very impressed, would highly recommend it, and am thinking of purchasing more of these as gifts.

This was fun while it lastest. Most of the instruments that came with the jacket have been destroyed. The stethoscope never really worked from the beginning. The jacket is still in good shape.

I have three daughters from 23 to 3 years of age. My 23 is a medical student as well as her husband and my 16 is also interested in become a doctor. My three year likes to pretend to be a doctor herself. I love Melissa and Doug products because I believe and trust they have control over production and quality. I am so afraid of toys containing lead paint or anything else harmful. I believe in quality and not quantity. I always loved traditional toys and I stay away from fads. I did my research on Melissa and Doug and feel good about buying their products. My little one loves to wear the doctor's lab coat and make sure everyone is healthy in the house. I really didn't pay to much mind to Melissa and Doug products until my last baby was born I went back to check why I didn't purchase Melissa and Doug for my first two..only to realize the company started when my first daughter was born. I always would buy exceptional toys from Europe now I have exceptional toys through Melissa and Doug and Amazon

My 4.5 year old wanted to be a doctor for Halloween. We got this 6 weeks beforehand and he's already played with it a lot. It has fun tools and seems a lot more durable than many dress up items.
