I bought this item and 50 pc Glow stic necklace. My daughter & son love it. For ~$20 (for both) it isn't a bad deal.
The product works as said. The pink (or the red) isn't as bright though. My 2 yr old some how managed get the bracelet to leak. The stain on the dress/hands also glowed. I thought it looked cool. I could break one & use it over the body for Halloween. However i'm not sure how safe they're.
Overall they're good but maybe not for young kids..

Bracelets are great for camping in the dark, as they can be use outside or inside the tent as a light while kids are going to sleep. Not so much light, but for the price, they are really fun.

Good product for the price; not enough connectors November 1, 2009

I've used about 50 of these and have had only 3 or 4 duds. The glow sticks are thicker than I thought they would be and are a little hard to bend if you're just using one to make a bracelet. However, I have not had any leak, as others have reported. Also, because of their stiffness, using just one to make a bracelet will sometimes put too much stress on the connector, causing the connector to crack. The glow sticks seem to last about 8 hours. My one big complaint is that I did not get enough connectors. There was no separate compartment of connectors attached to the tube. Instead, I received about 30 connectors which had been thrown into the Amazon packing box; as if there is a bin of connectors sitting next to these tubes at the warehouse, and the packer just grabs a handful and throws them in with your order.

I must have gotten a crappy batch. I'd say only about 1 in 5 were "decent" which means they lit up for most of the stick and were a good brightness. Many (most) only lit up a tiny fraction of the stick and some didn't even light at all... so because of the better reviews, I can only assume the ones I got were lower quality or from a bad batch. They also did not come in a container that looks like the one in the photos that someone supplied... and yes, I cracked them the length of the stick and shook them vigorously, but shaking didn't help much.
