Product Description Perfect for any little Western gunslinger, this double-barrel single shot shooter fires foam darts one after another in rapid succession. It's so real that it even releases the shells after each blast. It includes six safe, foam darts and it measures 28 long.

It's got good point and bad points. February 18, 2010 Elizabeth A. Wiegard Negative:
Definitely NOT worth the price. This thing is too expensive for the craftsmanship.
I've only been playing with it for about an hour and I've already had several jams, which does not bode well.
The clip is hard to get out and in. Sometimes it won't go in until you actually physically put it up to your face and guide it in, and it doesn't come out nearly as easily as nerf clips do.
I'm not too crazy about the shells flying, because that's just more you have to run around and pick up after six shots.
Quite slow to reload.
Positive:
This thing is pretty fun when you get used to it.
The jams I had weren't major to the extent that they broke something, but in a fast-moving blaster battle, this will definitely cause a problem.
When the lever cocking action works smoothly, it's quite nice.
I'm a college student, and last year my school did a game called Human's Vs. Zombies, which I couldn't play because I didn't have any nerf guns. Later on I bought a few guns: the Nerf CS-6 (which I HIGHLY recommend as an alternative to this gun if you don't have it already. It's cheaper and much much better) along with the Nerf Maverick and the Buzz Bee Double Shot. I LOVED the double shot soo much so I figured I might give this gun a try. So far it hasn't measured up, but then again the Double Shot was $20 cheaper and waaaaaaay worth it. I think that if you're just looking to build up a blaster arsenal and you've got money to spend, go ahead and get it, because you WILL have fun playing with it. It's certainly got one advantage over the Double Shot which is that you get 6 shots per loading instead of 2 (but I'm quite proud of how fast I can load the Double Shot, so this isn't that big of a pro for me). My only gripe was that it's too expensive for the problems that it has, and if you're looking for a better value, go with the Nerf CS-6 because it is cheaper and doesn't have NEARLY as many issues, is much more versatile, but can serve the same purpose if you're looking for a rifle type gun.
If you're set on buying this one like I was, go for it, because again, you WILL have fun with it, just be prepared to experience some minor problems along the way. I don't know how well suited this thing is for young kids, but older kids will have fun with it as well.
Here is a link for the CS-6 AND the Double Shot, so at least check those out before purchasing the Rapid Fire Rifle.

This Gun is awesome December 25, 2009 Jill Kern So me and my best friend have been nerfing for 6 years now and while i have always found a gun I liked he didn't. So when i saw these guns i immediately bought them. They were awesome;
Heres the pros and cons of this gun
Pros:
range: 50' (no mod). 70 (with mod)
accuracy: the most accurate gun out there i mean it
ammo capacity: the clip holds 10 shells but is easily moded for 20
other: This gun also is the most realistic nerf gun. this gun uses shells and a shell ejecting system. i belive this gun is modeld after the Winchester Model 1895.
Cons: i can only think of two and they are easily fixed.
1) The shot have to be kept in shells so it is anoying when you have to put more darts into shells into the mag. but you can fix this buy buying more ammo and constructing a belt done with these steps:
1. get some pvc pipe the same diameter as your shells and cut them to size
2. take the pieces of pipe and duct tape them together
3. afix this to a belt andyour done
or heres a link on ho to mod your magazine (i know he uses a difernt mag but its the same principle): [...].
con # 2
When you eject the shells they fly out of the gun and can hit you or you can lose them or you can slip on them. so take the box from the extre ammo you just bought and tape it top on so it flips like hinge and boom you dont lose shells.
over all the gun is one of the best out there.
Rapid Fire Unique December 16, 2009 Penny S. Malecha (St. Paul, MN) My purchase experience was very good, quick delivery, packaged well. As far as the product the Ruff Stuff products are not nearly as quality or durable as Nerf however the price point is lower and they have some unique designs that Nerf does not have. Therefore we will continue to buy the products knowing they will need replacement at some point.
Lot's of fun June 17, 2009 R. King (New Glasgow NS) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this to battle with my brother-in-law, and had loads of fun. It has good power, enough to leave a mark from 15 feet.
The only down side is that once a shell is ejected, you have to find it again to re-load. This takes time in an intense nerf battle.
This is a TON of fun for anyone! May 29, 2009 Brewmonkey 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this gun this afternoon for our son and I don't think he has gotten to play with it yet as everyone else is too busy shooting. With life like lever action and cartridges that eject after firing this thing is too much of a hoot and WAY BETTER then any thing that we had like this when we were kids all those many years ago. Of course keeping it age appropriate is a must as the darts do come out much faster/harder then most other similar types of guns. The darts stick quite well to almost any flat surface and are easily retrieved, unless your wife shoots them up to the 12' ceiling and you only have a step stool... A neat gadget for any kid!
